Thanks again all those who had a hand in making this very special event happen
On behalf of all of the players of the Throw To Know thanks again all those who had a hand in making this very special event happen. Emily Genter for coming up with the idea and making it a reality the last 3 years, John Genter for keeping it going this year, Greg Ramirez for giving it moral and logistical backbone and support, Eric Naylor, Jerry Hallman and "the Man" Jake, our friendly hard-working Anson B Nixon Park grounds keeper, for bringing the course to a new level of fun and playability. Also the countless volunteers who took the time to come out and help run the event. From registration, players package handout, food and beverage preparation and serving, and running all of the special activities (CTP, Speed Golf, Ring of Fire, Raffles, etc.) you did a great job. The Squares extraordinary relationship with our park board of directors also has played a significant roll in the development of the course and our various events and activities. Richard Lyon has been invaluable in much of the course improvements we enjoy at Kennett, as have the other board members. You're efforts have been recognized and very much appreciated.
Thank you guys.
The Squares look to the future with excitement and great expectations
The Squares look to the future with excitement and great expectations of improving our course, the condition of the woods and land we play on, our events and our relationship with the greater and more local community.
Our slice of disc golf nirvana
On a personal note, in the 29 years I've been playing and been involved with disc golf, I've never been around a group of better folks. We should all cherish this time and the community we've built and make every effort to nurture and grow it, as it can be a very fragile and fleeting thing. I hope everyone took a moment yesterday just to look around and take it all in, that was our slice of disc golf nirvana.
